The 2nd annual Word Power International Black Literature Festival and Book Fair will take place at The Emirate, Arsenal Stadium Conference Hall, London N7.


ADMISSION IS FREE: 10AM-6PM


3 days of celebrating a love for words, with conversation, debates, poetry performances, children story time as well as writers workshops, all under one roof. Authors over the three days include: Jacob Ross, Dr Marimba Ani, Anthony T Browder, Wayne B Chandler, Beverley East, Prof Hilary Beckles, Richard Jeanty, Molefi K Asante, Jr., Mohammed Umar, Muabaruka, Caroline Shola Arewa, Yasus Afari, Dr Edgar Ridley and many more.

Highlights include: A women’s poetry hour; a two-day conference – Images of Self; Traditional children storytelling, a writer’s workshop and a new book launch. In addition, there will be special breakaway events to enrich the celebration of Black History month.
