Word Power celebrates its second year in 2008. This promises to be one of the biggest community event in Black History Month in the UK.

Word Power attracts a broad spectrum of African /Caribbean literary community: authors; publishers; readers; libraries; and school.

Your company will benefit from its high profile association with this international literary event.

Volunteers:

The festival seeks interested, committed volunteers to help us deliver our exciting programme of events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct 10-12). If you are:

• 18 years of age or older
• able to commit to a minimum of six consecutive hours on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
• willing to act in a professional, friendly and respectful manner at all times
• willing to wear the Word Power T’shirt

then we would be happy to hear from you.

In return, you will:

• gain valuable work experience on a busy literary festival
• have the opportunity to meet top authors and engage with local readers

You will be notified via email regarding the day and time of your assignment on a first come first serve basis.

All volunteers are expected to be available for a briefing at Centerprise on the Wednesday prior to the Book Fair.
